Flaking skin has an irritating habit of returning.
A dry patch appears beside the nose or across the cheeks. Moisturizer is applied generously, the loose scales settle, and for a while the surface looks better. Again, the routine must be considered as a whole.

The Weather Can Quietly Change the Rules

The more useful approach is to notice patterns.
