The direction of the lash fibers also influences the finished composition. Wispy styles create visible spaces and movement, dense styles produce stronger definition, and flared designs emphasize the outer eye. Application should preserve these characteristics rather than distort them. Tilting or twisting the band can change the intended direction of the fibers and alter the entire visual effect.

Removal Completes the Application Cycle
Good false lash technique does not end when the makeup is finished. Removal affects both comfort and the condition of reusable lashes. Pulling aggressively at a firmly attached strip can place unnecessary stress on the delicate eye area and can distort the lash band.
The adhesive should instead be loosened carefully according to the product's directions and the makeup products being worn. Once removed, reusable lashes can be handled gently so that accumulated adhesive does not gradually deform the band.
This matters because the shape of a previously worn lash influences its next application. A damaged or twisted band may become significantly harder to position accurately even when the original lash was easy to use.
